Why
do I need to heat seal?
Many customers decide to heat seal
their Stand Up Pouch or Flat Bottom Pouch to provide a tamper evident
environment, safe in the knowledge that the contents haven’t been tampered with
since filling and sealing. Our Stand Up
pouches have a top header with tear notches above the resealable press seal
zipper that is the ideal size for heat sealing. Simply heat seal above the tear notch so that your customer can easily tear
open the pouch at the tear notches for initial use.
What
can I heat seal?
Heat sealing is commonly used for joining
thermoplastics such as polyethylene (PE) and/or vacuum metallised polyethylene
terephthalate (VMPET) that requires a moderate temperature to achieve an
effective seal. All our pouches can be heat sealed as they are produced from
the PE family. With our vacuum roll, you can create custom
sized bags using a heat sealer.
What
heat sealer do I need?
We have a range of heat sealers available
that are suitable for ad hoc low volume to high volume usage. Our Impulse Heat Sealer range is ideal
for desktop occasional use providing a sealing area of 200mm, 300mm or 400mm,
whereas our Foot Stamping Heat Sealer with a sealing area of 650mm is
great if you need hands free heat sealing with a large area (650mm) of heat
sealing capabilities.
For the ultimate heat sealer where you
have a production line that needs heat sealing quickly, then the tabletop Horizontal
or Vertical constant heat Continuous Heat Sealer maybe a more automated preferred
solution for you. The continuous conveyor
belt allows you to stand up or lay down your pouches onto a conveyor belt which
will feed the pouches through the continually heated elements at your desired
temperature and speed according to the packaging composition.
