Overview
A Shiny stand-up pouch with a fully transparent front and a solid coloured back, finished with a resealable zip lock, easy-open tear notches and an expandable bottom gusset. The clear front shows your product across the whole panel, while the coloured back gives you a strong, premium background for labels, branding and product information.
The 190mm(W) x 260mm(H) + 100mm(G) [SP5] format is designed to hold approximately 500g of coffee beans. If you are packing a different product, the actual fill weight or volume may vary depending on its density, shape, particle size, fill level and the headspace required for sealing and presentation.
We recommend ordering a sample to test the pouch with your product before purchase or commercial use.

Why choose a one side clear pouch?
A fully clear front lets your product do the selling. You get an unobstructed view of colour, texture, grade and fill level of your product across the whole panel, which is useful where the appearance of the contents supports the buying decision. The glossy finish adds shine and makes printed labels and colours look bright on shelf.
The solid coloured back panel gives you a clean, premium surface for your branding, ingredients, weight declaration, barcode and legal wording.
The clear front works just as well for labelling, and it gives you flexibility in how much of the product you show. A small logo or small label keeps the contents visible right across the panel. A larger label covering around half the front still leaves the product on show around the edges, because the whole panel is transparent rather than a fixed window. You choose the balance between branding and product visibility, and you can vary it between lines or seasonal ranges without changing pouch.
A one side clear pouch gives you more freedom than Window Pouches, where the visible area is fixed by the size and position of the window. Here you decide the visible area with your label. Bear in mind that a transparent front also lets more light reach the contents than a fully opaque pouch. For light-sensitive products, consider the fully opaque Shiny Pouches Stand Up Pouch or other metallised pouches in the range and check your own shelf-life requirements.

Product suitability and testing
Where your product is sensitive to light, take the transparent front panel into account and validate shelf life with your own product. You are responsible for ensuring that this pouch is compatible with and suitable for your intended product before purchase or use. You should carry out your own checks and testing using your specific contents and packaging process, including fill weight, filling method, heat-sealing equipment and settings, storage conditions, transport conditions, temperature exposure and intended end use.
Product descriptions, suggested uses, and capacity guidance are provided for general information only and do not guarantee suitability for every application. If you are unsure whether this pouch is right for your product, please request a sample and contact Rightpak before placing an order or using the packaging.
Capacity guidance
This size is commonly described as a 500g pouch format based on the contents being coffee beans, but the actual weight it will hold depends on your product’s bulk density, particle size, shape, product settling, required headspace and seal area.
For example, the same weight of salt or sugar, whole coffee beans and light popcorn will occupy very different volumes. You also need to allow headspace for a clean seal, which reduces the usable fill. We recommend ordering a sample to confirm the right fill level, shelf presentation and sealing allowance before ordering in volume.
With a clear front panel, fill level is visible to your customer, so it is worth checking on a sample that the filled pouch presents as you intend, including how your label sits against or in relation to the fill line.
Heat sealing
This pouch is intended to be heat sealed above the zip-lock closure and tear notch. Actual seal settings and performance depend on your sealer, temperature, dwell time, pressure, product contamination in the seal area, pouch handling and production environment.
Please check that your sealer jaw width and pouch handling suit the seal area available above the zip on this size and validate sealing performance using your own equipment and filled product before proceeding with a larger order or commercial launch. On a clear front panel, product dust or residue in the seal area is more visible, so keep the seal area clean during filling.
FAQs
Will this pouch hold 500g of my product?
This pouch is designed to hold approximately 500g of coffee beans. Other products may occupy more or less space depending on their density, shape and particle size. We recommend testing a sample with your own product before ordering in volume.
For guidance on pouch size, see our size chart, which suggests suitable bag sizes using examples including pick-and-mix sweets, protein powder and sugar or salt. This provides a useful starting point for comparing products with different densities and forms.
What are the dimensions of this pouch?
The pouch measures 190mm(W) x 260mm(H) + 100mm(G), Width x Height + Total Bottom Gusset.
Which side is clear?
The full front panel is completely transparent, and the back panel is solid coloured. This gives you an uninterrupted view of the product on one side and a premium labelled surface on the other.
How is this different from a window pouch?
A window pouch shows the contents through a defined panel within an otherwise opaque pouch, so the visible area is fixed. On this pouch the entire front is transparent, so you decide how much of the product is on show by the size and placement of your label.
Can I put a label on the clear front?
Yes. The clear front is well suited to labelling and gives you flexibility in how much product you show. A small logo keeps the contents visible across the whole panel, while a larger label covering around half the front still leaves the product visible around the edges. You can also apply a transparent label to the clear front, so your design or logo appears to sit directly on the pouch with the product still visible behind and around it. Labelling both the clear front and the coloured back is possible too. We recommend testing your label on a sample to check adhesion, clarity and finished appearance before ordering in volume.
Is the finish matt or gloss?
This pouch has an overall glossy finish, which gives a bright, high-shine appearance on shelf. If you prefer a low-glare look, view our Matt Pouches.
Will light affect my product in a clear pouch?
A transparent front panel lets more light reach the contents than a fully opaque pouch. If your product is light-sensitive, validate shelf life with your own product, or consider a fully opaque option such as our Shiny Pouches or Matt Pouches Stand Up Pouches.
How many pouches do I receive?
Products are sold in multiples of 100 pouches and may be supplied in more than one inner bag or carton for safe handling and delivery.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Yes. The minimum order quantity for ready-made stock pouches is 100 pouches, excluding fully customised pouches.
Stock pouches are sold in multiples of 100, so you can order 100, 200, 300, 400 pouches and above. Fully customised pouches are subject to separate minimum order quantities.
How do bulk-buy discounts work?
Bulk-buy discounts apply when you order larger quantities of the same product and SKU. Different products, sizes, colours or formats cannot be combined to qualify for a quantity discount.
Does the pouch reseal after opening?
Yes. The pouch includes a resealable zip-lock closure to support convenient reclosure between uses. Please validate its performance with your own filled product and expected use conditions before commercial use.
Can I heat seal this pouch?
The pouch is designed to be heat sealed above the zip closure. Seal settings and results depend on your equipment, product, temperature, dwell time, pressure and production conditions. Please test the pouch with your product before commercial use.
Is this pouch suitable for food packaging?
Food-contact suitability must be confirmed for the exact pouch construction and your intended application. Please request the relevant technical specification and, where applicable, food-contact documentation before ordering or using the pouch.
Can I use this pouch for hot products or liquid products?
No general hot-fill or liquid-product claim is made for this pouch. Please contact Rightpak before using it with hot, warm, wet, liquid, acidic, oily or other specialist products.
Can these pouches be printed on?
We would advise against it, and we do not offer it. Applying ink and heat to a finished pouch can affect the inner food-contact layer and risks migration, so the pouch may no longer be suitable for food use. Once a pouch has been over-printed after manufacture, it can no longer be relied upon as suitable for food contact, and our technical and food-contact documentation no longer applies to it.
Custom printed pouches work differently. The design is printed as part of the manufacturing process, before the pouch is laminated and formed, so the print is sealed within the structure, and the food-contact layer is unaffected. Get In Touch with us discuss custom printed pouches or Get a Quote.
What is the difference between stock pouches and custom printed pouches?
Stock pouches are ready-made, held in stock and supplied unprinted, so you add your own labels. Minimum order quantity is 100 pouches.
Custom printed pouches are manufactured to order with your design printed into the pouch during production, rather than applied afterwards. You choose the size, material, finish and features, and the print covers the full pouch. Minimum order quantities and lead times apply, and we will guide you through artwork requirements.
If you would like your branding on a stock pouch in the meantime, labels are the right route, and many of our customers start there before moving to custom printed pouches as volumes grow.
Are technical and compliance documents available?
Relevant documents may be available for approved business customers. Request access before ordering or using the pouch where your application requires food-contact, technical, regulatory or quality approval.
Is this pouch Recyclable?
No, this pouch is not recyclable. It is constructed from multiple layers (BOPP/PET/PE and BOPP/VMPET/PE) which cannot be separated for conventional recycling. If you need a recyclable alternative, please view our range of Recyclable Pouches.
